Welcome to my very first Blog Space on Blogger.com I hope your experience here is an interesting and entertaining one.
I have always had a lot to say (so my parents have always said) and and have been looking for a place to share my thoughts, ideas and experiences with my family, friends and anyone else who may be interested.
Ok, where to start? Everyone should have a furry friend in life and the preference for most is either a dog or a cat. Well, I have always had a love of cats which is why there has almost always been a feline friend in my life.
My very first feline friend was Boots and she belonged to my mother from before I was even born. She was a very fluffy and friendly cat with six toes and white paws which is how she got her name. One day Boots had two black kittens in the closet at our house...I named them after characters in one of my favourite childhood books, Twinkle and Boo. They were as cute as their names and fluffy like Boots. In the spirit of sharing I gave one of the kitties, Boo, away to Jimmy, the little boy who lived downstairs and kept Twinkle for my very own pet. Sadly, Twinkle me an untimely death from the tire of a car and Jimmy moved away with his parents and so did Boo.
One day when I was four we moved to a new house about 10 kilometers away from our old house and shortly after that Boots just disappeared. My parents told me that she likely tried to make her way to our old home because that is were her territory was and that the new house was unfamiliar to her. They looked around our new neighbourhood, checked with the old neighbours and the new tenants but Boots was never seen again...that was a very sad day in the life of a five year old girl.
